Designing With Baby Boomers

For years we heard about the baby boomers and many curiosities related to the statistics indicate that our high number (around 26% of the population) has the power to affect almost every aspect of life in the U.S. . After all, boomers represent 45% of the population and control as much discretionary income in history. This is especially true when it comes to housing, so that our designers and architects continue to create new home designs to meet the stages of evolution and the needs of baby boomers.

While many boomers are looking for down-sized and prepare for retirement, most people are only interested in finding the right size for your home, so they can enjoy the simple life and cost without sacrificing their needs and change their way of living. For some, it may mean a smaller house plan a great outdoor living space and an open floor plan so you can still have fun, and there is space for your grandchildren. For most people it means the house with lots of flexible spaces accommodate overnight guests, home office, entertainment / media room and a craft or hobby room.

You will see that most boomers house plans are one story or ranch house plans, a suite of two large bedrooms and living areas, flexible bond. You can enjoy browsing our collection of small house plans, floor plans open an empty nester, home plans, floor plans and a bonus room in the house.
