Changing times, changing lives - the only constants.

Facebook enthusiasts would know that every December, the Facebook team comes up with an application called “My Year in Status”.

The application takes all the various statuses that you shared during the course of the year, and creates a collage with them. Thus, summarizing the entire year with statuses, as the name clearly suggests. While the non-Facebook enthusiasts call it a waste of time, this application is one of the nicer, lesser useless applications Facebook has come up with.

What’s truly interesting about this application is that when you look at the collage, it brings to mind what everybody knows but doesn’t realize. Everyone knows that change is the only constant in life, and wishing for no change is like wishing pigs could fly. But everyone forgets that, and goes on wishing for things to remain just the same.

The ups and downs of life, sometimes separated by mere days and hours are the inevitable reality. They’re going to come your way, whether you like it or not. The sooner we accept that, the saner we can keep ourselves. And the saner we keep ourselves, the better we can function.
